El arte milenario de la terapia corporal tiene en el masaje ayurvédico tradicional una de las más completas y rejuvenecedoras tradiciones desarrolladas y practicadas en la India. Este sistema forma parte de la religión védica y es además uno de los principales pilares utilizados en los tratamientos de la medicina ayurvédica, que también pertenence a la misma tradición religiosa.
